(Tango is a Doll (more formally known as an Active) who appears in the first-season episode “Needs”. At some point in the past five years, she signed her body over to the Dollhouse for their use in exchange for money and five years of spa-like living. It’s not known why she did this, but it’s fair to assume there were some desperate circumstances, since most Actives seem to have some tragedy or other obstacle in their pasts. With the blanket use of her body, the Dollhouse, in turn, imprints her mind with personalities and hires her out to people in need of a custom-made human-for-hire.)
